The Vario 2000 Universal Axe is a highly capable, full-size general purpose axe. The 4 pound head (with parts) provides enough heft for all types of cutting and splitting work, and is big enough to take down large trees without being too heavy to fatigue the average user. The head design will cut like a felling axe, but has a wedge inclined blade that performs exceptionally well for splitting. The Vario 2000 system is Helko Werk’s patented axe design. All parts, heads, and handles are compatible with one another, and the screw system offers easy interchangeability. The head is assembled onto the handle with screws that are driven through the handle and are secured by a butt-plate retainer cap. The steel overstrike protector covers the assembly and offers protection to the handle. All parts are assembled with an allen wrench, which is supplied with each axe.
