Seachrome’s End-Hung Wall-Mount Folding Tub Seat delivers safety, style, and peace of mind by providing a safe place to sit while bathing. As we mature, slipping and falling while bathing and showering can be a common occurrence. Installing a bathtub seat and grab bars provides security and allows elderly and physically disabled people to remain independent in the privacy of their bathroom. The folding bathtub seat is a sturdy, wall-mount folding seat that extends completely across a tub to function as a bench. The seat extends from the wall by 32 inches, making it suitable for use with most standard-size bathtubs. It fits best with Alcove bathtubs and is not recommended for free-standing tubs. The bathtub seat supports up to 250 pounds while satisfying all ADA code requirements when properly installed. It easily folds up to a slim profile and is automatically held in a secured raised position 3” against the wall by a stainless-steel friction hinge bracket, taking up minimal space when not in use. The friction hinge bracket is engineered to provide a smooth consistent resistance when raising and lowering the seat. The seat frame is constructed with high-quality rust-resistant #304 stainless steel tubing. While the seat is fabricated from durable, water-resistant thick ½” teak phenolic 3-inch slats to provide excellent drainage and easy cleaning, which is ideal for long-lasting use. The teak phenolic slats complement a wide range of bathroom decor and provide a natural smoothing spa-like look. The tub frame is lined with rubber to provide protection when contacting tub surfaces.
